Dave’s Weekly Market Update

Eggs:
The egg market has been dropping as supply still exceeds demand. Eggs are getting very inexpensive so the farmers will put flocks out to molt to tighten up the supply and send prices back up at some point in the future. If there is a heat wave in the growing areas this will speed up the process.
Butter:
Butter rose this week as ice cream makers are stepping into the market in full force to buy cream for the Summer and holiday weekend demand. It should keep trading within this range for the near future.
Cheese:
Both markets are correcting due to the high inventories and the fact that the Spring Flush is in full force. The markets closed lower than the average so even if they stay flat next week prices will drop again.
We all at Honor Foods want to thank you for your continued business. We all wish you and yours a safe and relaxing Spring weekend.
