Dave’s Weekly Market Report

Good Afternoon to all:

Eggs:
The egg market remained steady this week but will begin going up very shortly. Below is what was quoted on today’s egg market. “Retail demand fairly good, supplies well balanced. Market steady with an improving undertone noted”
Butter:
Butter is on a roller coaster ride. It went up .15 in two days, down .11 the next two and up .05 today. To say the least the market is unstable. For years we have sold Cabot Farmstead whey cream butter. Cabot has made the choice to discontinue producing this item by the end of the year. We are getting just a few pallets a week at this point and can not fulfill all of your orders. We have Cabot USDA AA butter but it is .09 a pound more. We are sorry for the shortages and we are actively looking for another source of less expensive butter.
Cheese:
The cheese market was weak and there were drops in both the block and barrel markets. I still believe that cheese will bounce around for the foreseeable future  within the ranges we have seen for the past few months.
We thank you for your continued business and wish you and your families a safe and relaxing weekend.
