Dave’s Weekly Market Report

Happy Thursday

Eggs:
The egg market is still climbing and we are hearing that it will level out a little higher level than it is now for a short while. The further processed egg market still remains very firm and some items are still being allocated. As always I must state that these are only my opinions and observations of the markets and can guarantee no results.
Butter:
Butter has been aggressive all week. All the decreases of last week are gone. People were aggressively bidding for butter in the past 2 days at the CME. As I have said in previous weeks the butter market has been bouncing around within a fairly small range and continues to do so. The narrow trading range will probably contribute with to little or no movement in the cream market.
Cheese:
Both block and barrel rebounded this week and posted sharp gains. Last week it dropped all week and since Tuesday it has been climbing. There is adequate milk and production so I am not sure what fundamentals are pushing the markets up. We do have school openings within next month and that could be a factor.
We at Honor Foods thank you for your continued business and wish you and your families a safe and relaxing Summer weekend.
